Why Sky Render Farm?
Six reasons, each one a number you can check on the pricing, software or FAQ pages.
PAY-AS-YOU-GO · NO CONTRACTS
The most competitive
pricing in rendering.
Benchmark: 2,500 frames · 60 sec/frame avg · RTX 4090 · Cycles
$27
vs $572 at Rebus Farm
SAVE OVER 95%+
on the same production job compared to traditional render farms.
RTX 4090 FROM $0.60/HR
Providers compete on price. Live market rates, no surprises.
Valid for Blender and Unreal Engine.
You pay for frames, not for a plan
One SkyPoint costs $1, you buy them before a render, and what a job spends is what it used. There is no subscription, no minimum and no monthly fee — an idle month costs nothing.
2,500 frames for $27
A 60-second-per-frame Cycles job on RTX 4090 nodes. The same job is $240 at Fox Render Farm, the cheapest of the three farms on our pricing page.
Rent as many nodes as the deadline needs
RTX 3090, RTX 4090, RTX 5090 nodes, rented per job and released the moment it finishes. 49 frames of the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio sequence rendered in 2 minutes across 5 RTX 3090 nodes at 1920 × 890.
It starts inside the application you already use
5 applications and 15 render engines, each with a plugin that packs the scene and sends it. You never open a web uploader, and finished frames land in the output folder on their own.
You find out before you spend
The desktop app analyses the scene before submission and names any plugin the farm cannot load. A cost estimate is on screen before the first node is rented, so a surprise is a bug rather than a business model.
Your work does not sit here afterwards
Scenes are kept 15 days and completed jobs 7, then removed. Transfers are encrypted, and an NDA is available before you upload anything.

Pre-Flight Optimization Checklist
Prepare a scene for a render farm rather than for one machine — it saves credits and gets frames back sooner.
External Data Packing
Always go to File -> External Data -> Pack Resources. This bundles all textures into your .blend so our render nodes can find them.
Optimize Noise Threshold
For Cycles, increase the Noise Threshold from 0.001 to 0.01–0.02. This can reduce render times by up to 50% with little to no visible impact on image quality.
Bake Physics & Simulations
Bake fluid, hair, cloth, and soft body caches, and include the cache folder inside your zip file.
Relative Texture Paths
Use the File Path Editor to convert all absolute texture file paths (e.g., D:/Project/...) to relative paths inside the sourceimages folder.
V-Ray Dynamic Memory
Set V-Ray's Dynamic Memory limit to 0 (unlimited) so it can utilize the full high-performance RAM available on our nodes.
Arnold TX Textures
Pre-convert textures to .tx format. Arnold renders these substantially faster and saves valuable node memory.
Corona Render Limits
Set sensible noise limits (e.g. 2.5% - 4%) or pass limits rather than rendering indefinitely.
Archive Feature Utility
Use the 'Archive' command under File -> Save As. This automatically collects all assets and maps into a clean structure.
XRefs Resolution
Ensure all external references (XRefs) are bound or relative paths are perfectly mapped.
Mograph & Cloners Cache
Mograph and dynamics can compute differently on multiple machines. Always bake/cache them before uploading.
Redshift GI Caching
Bake your Redshift Global Illumination map to prevent flickering issues on distributed render nodes.
Take System Setup
If you have multiple camera views, use C4D's Take System to configure multiple render passes easily.
Warmup Frames Mode
Ensure Movie Render Queue has at least 32-64 warmup frames configured to let particle systems initialize properly.
Virtual Textures (UDIMs)
Enable virtual texturing to bypass VRAM bottlenecks on heavy architectural assets.
Lumen Screen-Space Cache
Set global illumination quality variables correctly in your post process volume for flicker-free frame sequencing.

Download SkyRender Desktop App V5.6.0
Your render farm, on your desktop. Install the plugin for your 3D app, send a scene, and watch frames arrive as they finish. No file juggling, no browser tabs.
SkyRender Desktop is the client for the SkyRender farm. It detects the 3D applications installed on your machine and installs the matching plugin in one click, so you can send a render straight from Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, 3ds Max or Unreal Engine.
Before a job goes out you see exactly what the scene contains — camera, frame range, resolution, output format, render elements — and you can change any of it without reopening the scene.
While the job runs you watch progress frame by frame, and finished frames land in your download folder automatically, part by part, instead of waiting for the whole job to end.

Frequently asked questions
The ones asked most often before a first render.
What is a SkyPoint?
SkyPoints are the credits you spend on rendering at Sky Render Farm. One SkyPoint costs $1. We measure rendering power in GHz hours (CPU) or OB hours (GPU) and debit the matching number of SkyPoints from your balance. You buy SkyPoints before starting a render job, from the account page.
Which applications are rented by the node, and which are billed as cloud render?
Sky Render Farm runs two services. Blender and Unreal Engine are node rental: you choose the graphics cards, rent as many as the deadline needs, and pay for the seconds they run at the node's hourly rate. Maya, 3ds Max and Cinema 4D are cloud render: the farm assigns the machines and you pay for the CPU and GPU hours your job uses. Both are paid for in SkyPoints from the same balance, and both are submitted the same way, from SkyRender Desktop. What differs is whether you pick the hardware and what the meter counts, which is why the cost estimate is worked out differently for each.
Is there a membership or subscription fee?
No. Sky Render Farm is entirely pay as you go. There is no subscription, no monthly charge and no minimum commitment — you pay only for the rendering you actually use.
How much will rendering cost?
The exact cost depends on your scene, because displacement, scene size, particles, fur and lighting all change render time. Job cost updates live while rendering, so you can watch it as it runs. For an estimate before submitting, use the cost calculator (skyrenderfarm.com/calculator) with your local render time per frame. Send two or three test frames first to confirm the real time and cost before committing a full sequence.
Does renting more nodes cost more?
Almost never. An animation is a fixed amount of work — 200 frames is 200 frames whichever machines render them — and because nodes bill by the second you are paying for that work, not for how widely it is spread. Renting two nodes and renting fifteen come to roughly the same total; what changes is that the two-node run takes most of a night and the fifteen-node run takes about an hour. A node that runs out of frames is released, so nodes left without work in the last round are not billed. The one thing that does add a little is start-up: each node can take about a minute to start and load your scene before its first frame, so fifteen nodes spend about thirteen more node-minutes getting ready than two. More nodes buy time, not a discount and not a penalty.
Which 3D applications and plugins does Sky Render Farm support?
Sky Render Farm supports Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D and Unreal Engine, with render engines including Cycles, EEVEE, V-Ray, Corona, Arnold, Redshift and Unreal's Movie Render Queue and Path Tracer. See the Supported Software page for the current matrix. SkyRender Desktop checks your scene before submission and reports any plugin the farm cannot load, so you find out before spending credits.
How do I upload a scene to the render farm?
Install SkyRender Desktop and sign in with your Sky Render Farm account. Submit from your 3D application using the Sky Sender plugin, and SkyRender Desktop uploads the scene and its assets automatically.
How do I download render output?
SkyRender Desktop downloads each finished frame to a folder you choose, as the job renders. You can also re-download previous outputs from the app.
